2 x Level 1 Teaching Assistants, 1:1, plus one part-time TA1, 1:1

Scale D, SCP 4 – 5 (£19,792.50 pro-rata)

Fixed term contract – 31st August 2025, with the possibility to extend.

Term Time Only, from 8.40am to 3.20pm, Part-time option of 8.40am-1.15pm also available

Bournebrook C of E Primary School is a small, rural school with a strong Christian ethos, where the happiness, well-being and achievement of each child is our main focus. We are seeking to appoint a Level 1, 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support to various pupils with additional requirements.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Teaching assistant experience, Team Teach training would be desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
  • Team working skills to liaise with other teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals such as speech and language therapists and Educational Psychologists.
  • Committed to working with pupils with additional needs – this could include learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build good relationships based on trust with pupils and their families
  • Exceptional and consistent behaviour management skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • It’s important to be able to respond to the needs of the children and adapt or change plans accordingly.
  • A high level of commitment to the pupils in your care.
  • A positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook.
  • Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents.
  • Evidence of recent professional development to support the role
